The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
and members of the Russian parliamentary delegation visited
the New Delhi World Book Fair.
They saw Russia’s bookstands presented there, some of those books were dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The New Delhi World Book Fair is held annually on the territory of the Bharat Mandapam central exhibition complex. In addition to numerous Indian publishing companies and cultural institutions, about 40 countries, including Russia, present their books there. This year, the Russian Federation is an honorary guest at the Book Fair.
Earlier, during the meeting of Vyacheslav Volodin with the President of India Droupadi Murmu, speaking about the Book Fair, it was noted that Russia's participation in such events will help develop intercultural dialogue and give citizens of the Republic the great opportunity to learn more about Russian literature. The Chairman of the State Duma agreed with the President of the Republic.
The Chairman of the State Duma is paying an official visit to the Republic of India at the invitation of the Speaker of the Lok Sabha of the Parliament of India. Vyacheslav Volodin has already met with the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha of the Parliament, Vice President of the Republic Jagdeep
Dhankhar and the Speaker of the Lok Sabha of the Parliament of India Om Birla. The Chairman of the State Duma also has had negotiations with the President of the Republic of India Droupadi Murmu.
