Russia and Myanmar will cooperate in the exploration and peaceful use of outer space

Relevant bilateral agreement was ratified at the plenary meeting

The State Duma ratified an Agreement between Governments of the Russian Federation and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on cooperation in the exploration and peaceful use of outer space.

The document was signed in Moscow on September 26, 2025.

The explanatory note emphasizes that the ratification of the agreement will enhance bilateral cooperation in such areas, as satellite navigation, satellite television and radio broadcasting and relevant information technologies and services, training and retraining of specialists from Myanmar, exploration of outer space, exploration of planets, remote Earth sensing, space material science, medicine and biology, providing and using services to launch spacecraft and human spaceflights.
