The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
had a telephone conversation with the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Türkiye Numan Kurtulmuş at the initiative of the Turkish side. During the conversation, the Speaker of the Parliament of Türkiye expressed condolences in connection with the crash of a passenger plane flying from Baku to Grozny where several Russian citizens died.
Vyacheslav Volodin and Numan Kurtulmuş also discussed the issues of development of inter-parliamentary relations between Russia and Türkiye.
The Chairman of the State Duma invited the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Türkiye to take part in the International Conference of Speakers of the Parliaments on Countering Terrorism and Strengthening Regional Connectivity, which will be held in Moscow in May 2025. Vyacheslav Volodin also conveyed to Numan Kurtulmuş and all citizens of Türkiye warm wishes on the upcoming New Year.
