Vyacheslav Volodin: by making such statements, Zelensky wants to win time asking NATO for military assistance

“Zelensky said that Ukraine was ready to discuss with Russia the issue of refusing to join NATO and the status of Crimea, but only after cessation of military activities and withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Ukraine. At the same time, he stressed that this should be done slowly, in no hurry,” posted the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin Volodin Vyacheslav Victorovich Volodin

The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
on his Telegram channel.

He recalled that the President of Ukraine said the same things on the eve of the talks in Turkey, when the Russian troops were near Kiev, and Russia then reduced its military activities there and withdrew its troops.

“After that, there was a staged provocation in Bucha and other provocations. Kiev had derogated from its obligations. He proposes the same scenario today. The purpose is obvious. He wants to win time, while asking NATO for providing military assistance,” added Vyacheslav Volodin.

He stressed that the Ukrainian army has already lost 23,367 people. During the liberation of Mariupol, 1,464 Ukrainian servicemen surrendered yesterday, about 2,500 more are blocked on the territory of the Azovstal.

Vyacheslav Volodin is convinced that if Volodymyr Zelensky cares about the citizens of Ukraine, he should immediately make the following decisions: “First of all, withdraw troops from the territory of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. Second – record commitments on recognition of Crimea and the non-bloc status of Ukraine, as well as on denazification and demilitarization of the country. There is no other way.”
