Vyacheslav Volodin told about the outcomes of his visit to Cuba
Chairman of the State Duma mentioned the agreements to create new formats of cooperation that would benefit citizens of both countries

The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
mentioned the outcomes of his visit to Cuba on his
Telegram channel.
He recalled that during the official visit, he met with President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of the National Assembly of People's Power and the Council of State of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernández and members of the Cuban Parliament.

“We discussed issues of development of cooperation between Russia and Cuba at the inter-parliamentary level. We have agreed to create new formats of cooperation that would benefit the citizens of both countries,” emphasized Vyacheslav Volodin.
The Chairman of the State Duma stressed that “despite the fact that Cuba is located quite far away from our country, people there are well aware of current situations in Russia, Ukraine, Europe, and tensions with the United States.”
“During the meetings, Cuban colleagues expressed support to our country's position on global security issues, announced by the President Vladimir Putin,” added Vyacheslav Volodin.
“They also emphasized that no state should ensure its own security at the expense of the security of other states. Cuba is ready to defend this point of view together with Russia in the international arena,” concluded the Chairman of the State Duma.
Vyacheslav Volodin will pay a visit to Nicaragua on February 24.
