The First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma also noted the importance of development of Russia-China cooperation.
“The nations of the world are tired of the aggressive and conflict atmosphere. There is a growing need for joining forces to overcome crises for the benefit of creation and development. Russia and China are to ready for it,” said Ivan Melnikov.
The parliamentarian stressed that “there are no deterrent actions, no competition and contest in our cooperation.” “Russia and China actively cooperate on a wide range of issues in their own interests and for common success, show a new modern model of relations between the two powers, and Russia wants China to be a stable and prosperous state, and China is interested in a strong and successful Russia,” said the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma.
He noted the stabilizing nature of Russia-China cooperation in the circumstances of increased tensions in the world.
“The dialogue at inter-parliamentary level will help to reveal all aspects of Russia-China cooperation,” stressed Ivan Melnikov.
He noted enhancement of cooperation between the two countries in the energy and oil and gas areas, as well as in areas related to innovative development and interregional cooperation.
“We consider it appropriate to create platforms for discussing the problems of Eurasian countries and finding appropriate formats within the framework of our Inter-parliamentary Commission,” said the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma.
