The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
and Speaker of the Joǵorku Keńesh of Kyrgyzstan Dastan Jumabekov took place.
They discussed the development of inter-parliamentary relations between the two
countries, as well as issues on the agenda of the upcoming meeting of the CSTO
PA.
On November 4–5, a working visit of Chairman of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly
and Chairman of the State Duma Viacheslav Volodin to the Republic of Armenia takes
place. He will participate in the events of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. The visit will begin with a meeting
with President of the National Assembly of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan.
It is planned
that the Chairman of the State Duma will hold several bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the Parliamentary Assembly.
The meeting of the CSTO PA Council was held in Bishkek on May 20, 2019. The parliamentarians discussed the situation in the regions adjacent to the Organization’s area of responsibility, measures to counter the challenges and threats to collective security, as well as harmonization of the legislation of the CSTO member countries.
