Leonid Slutskiy: prolongation of sanctions will not be able to influence the reunification of Crimea with Russia

“If so, then this is a movement in a completely opposite direction from common sense. The prolongation of sanctions will not be able to influence the situation around the reunification of Crimea with Russia. More than five years ago the peninsula returned to its native harbor, to the Russian Federation. This is a final decision, the question is not under discussion. And Europe will have to realize and accept this sooner or later,” noted Leonid Slutskiy Slutsky Leonid Eduardovich Slutsky

He stressed that ”the sanctions games imposed on Brussels by Washington, not least, are harmful to our European partners.“

“According to a number of experts, the economic damage of the European Union countries has already been measured about a hundred billion euros. All these restrictive measures are getting back, primarily, to those who impose them. It is time for the EU to pursue an independent policy in the interests of the states of Greater Europe, and not to dance to American sanctions song,” he concluded.
