The situation in the autonomous Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija, as well as the actions of the unrecognized administration in Pristina, became the main topics of the meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Leonid Slutskiy Slutsky Leonid Eduardovich Slutsky

The parties discussed the “further development of Russian-Serbian cooperation in all spheres.” Aleksandar Vučić noted the great importance of his recent meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Beijing and thanked Russia for ‘strong support and protection of the integrity and independence of Serbia, its state and national interests.’

The Serbian President informed Leonid Slutskiy about the development of the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, especially about the measures of the Pristina authorities, which, in addition to the stagnation in the dialogue, caused worsening of the living conditions of the Serbs in Kosovo. President Aleksandar Vučić said that the dialogue can be continued only in case Pristina abolishes unreasonable customs on Serbian goods. At the same time, the Serbian leader noted that ”Serbia will always be oriented towards a policy of peace and stability.“

Leonid Slutskiy said that ”Moscow is proud of the closest relations between our two countries“ and intends to ”always support the positions of Serbia, especially on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija.“
