The Parliamentary Forum and the Speakers’ Summit of the Parliaments of the G20 member states are held in Argentina from October 30 to November 3 just a month before the G20 leaders’ meeting.

country represented by members of the two chambers of Parliament participating
in the Forum.
“It was agreed to hold the G20 Parliamentary Forum this year in the country where the meeting of the leaders of these states is planned to take place. The parliamentary agenda includes topics that will be then discussed by our leaders. Three themes are stated: effective management without corruption, development of the sphere of work and women's capabilities,” Nikolai Pankov said.
“Participants say that there are still a lot of tasks to be solved, in particular, in the spheres of ecology, security and corruption control. And when the world is at economic wars, it is difficult to reach common legislative decisions. I think that the parliamentarians of a number of states have heard the words of our President Vladimir Putin. So, today we have already heard the views that it is difficult to find a balance and build an open, trust based dialogue without stability, understanding and consolidation in the world,” the parliamentarian added.
As he said, Carlos Gastón Roma, member of the Argentine National Congress and head of the Argentine parliamentary “friendship group” with the Russian Federation, who had met the delegation of the State Duma at the airport, noted that “Argentina used to develop as a pendulum, bringing postions closer with Russia, then moving away”, thereby losing time for fruitful cooperation. “And today the time has come when they want to correct these mistakes. Carlos Gastón Roma noted that the support of members of Parliament is very important for diplomats working abroad. Participation in prestigious world forums speaks for our strong and great state. The head of the “friendship group” remarked that representatives of other states treat us differently after such events,” concluded Nikolai Pankov.
