“We have discussed that interests of the people should be taken into account before adopting any decision. Especially in relation to technologies As AI, as earlier noted the Chairman of the State Duma, brings not only opportunities but also challenges,” said the parliamentarian. “Technologies change every day, while laws may be developed for years, and parliaments have to catch up. To make decisions more effective, we need a stable predictable international system,” he added. According to Vladislav Davankov, the UN and its Charter are the good basis for that. “But we hear not so much from the states of Asia, Africa and Latin America, while they deserve more. If it does not change, the multipolar world will stay only on paper,” he stressed.
“But we are trying to build it by developing direct agreements between states. That is why we met with the delegations from the UAE, Uganda, Cuba, Thailand and China, and we talked about economy, tourism and technological approaches,” said the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma.
“But we still have many tasks to solve together,” he concluded.
