According to him, European politicians insist that it is a great decision, because the worm additive is an alternative source of protein.
“In fact, these are just the consequences of the West's sanctions policy against our country, which has led to the collapse of the economy, closure of production facilities and serious problems in the agricultural industry in Europe,” emphasized the Chairman of the State Duma. He added that farmers in London had held large-scale protests because of impossibly high taxes.
“Instead of helping local agricultural producers, the European Union decided to replace their goods with larvae and worms. And feed them to people. As they say, nothing personal, just business,” stressed Vyacheslav Volodin.
“Production of insects requires less investment. But no one in Europe thinks that eating them can lead to serious illnesses, just as their farming,” he added.
