The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
held several meetings with his foreign colleagues within
the framework of the parliamentary dimension in Caracas. The negotiations were
held after the inauguration ceremony of the President of Venezuela Nicolás
Maduro.
During the meeting with the President of the National Assembly of Venezuela Jorge Rodríguez Gómez, the speakers discussed further strengthening of the inter-parliamentary dialogue between Russia and Venezuela.
Vyacheslav Volodin discussed effective forms of interaction within the parliamentary dimension with the Speaker of the National People’s Assembly of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria Brahim Boughali.
Vyacheslav Volodin also held brief meetings with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabić and the Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Wang Dongming, where the priority issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation were discussed.
On behalf of Vladimir Putin, the Chairman of the State Duma arrived in Venezuela, where he represented Russia at the inauguration ceremony of the President of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro.
