Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast) held a meeting with the President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo at the State Duma. Vyacheslav Volodin and Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo discussed issues of development of cooperation between Russia and Equatorial Guinea, including at the parliamentary level.

“Friendly relations between our countries are built on the principles of trust, non-interference in the affairs of sovereign states, and mutually beneficial cooperation. Our countries have much in common. Together, we stand for the formation of a multipolar world and a just world order,” emphasized Vyacheslav Volodin.

The Chairman of the State Duma expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea for his decision to address the members of the State Duma at the plenary meeting. “This is very important,” added Vyacheslav Volodin.

“Your visit will certainly give impetus to the development of relations between our countries at the parliamentary level,” he added.

Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo thanked Russia and its people for the unwavering support provided to his country. “The people of Equatorial Guinea are true friends of the Russian people,” said the President.

“Russia has always been a true friend of Equatorial Guinea and the entire African continent. I would like to especially express gratitude to your country for the important work aimed at supporting us — support for countries that suffered from colonialism and apartheid, when certain nations dictated their own rules,” emphasized Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
