According to him, such policy of unfriendly countries led to the situation when at the end of the year Russia's GDP growth amounted to about 3.5%, and Belarus — 3.8%.

“After 10 years of sanctions, Russia has become the largest European economy. And those who planned to do us any harm, who initiated sanctions and trade wars — they got what they deserved. All this hit them like a boomerang,” said Vyacheslav Volodin and recalled that the USA had lost its dominant position and is no longer the largest economy in the world.

According to Vyacheslav Volodin, people living in the USA should think in the upcoming year about the consequences of the disastrous policy of their leadership. “We should think about the way we build relationships, and not how to fight and not how to do harm,” added Vyacheslav Volodin. “As for European states, they lost a lot by supporting Washington’s policy, and today we see how much this affects ordinary European people,” he said.
