Chairman of the State Duma met with Executive Vice President of Venezuela

Vyacheslav Victorovich The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast) held a meeting with the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Delcy Eloína Rodríguez Gómez.

Vyacheslav Volodin noted the contribution of Presidents, Vladimir Putin and Nicolás Maduro, to the development of relations between Russia and Venezuela.

He emphasized that Russia and Venezuela had always built relations on the principles of mutual respect, equality and non-interference in the internal affairs of other states. Both countries condemn the sanctions pressure used by Washington and Brussels, and together stand for the rights of states and peoples to free development and formation of a just world order, as said Vyacheslav Volodin.

Delcy Rodríguez thanked Russia for supporting Venezuela in pursuing an independent political course.

Earlier, Vyacheslav Volodin met with Jorge Rodríguez Gómez, President of the National Assembly of Venezuela, on the sidelines of the First International Parliamentary Conference “Russia – Latin America”. The Speakers signed an agreement of cooperation between the State Duma and the Parliament of Venezuela. That step would give a new impetus to the development of inter-parliamentary dialogue and enhancement of bilateral cooperation, as noted the Chairman of the State Duma.
