The dynamics of the bilateral relations is determined by the Presidents of Russia and Mongolia – Vladimir Putin and Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, as noted the Chairman of the State Duma. The Parliaments should provide the legislative assistance to implement the decisions reached by the heads of the states, look for practical solutions of issues in priority areas for the countries, as emphasized Vyacheslav Volodin.
Russia and Mongolia have been developing relations on the principles of mutual respect, equality and non-interference in the affairs of other states, as stressed the Chairman of the State Duma. The both states also “stand for the rights of states and peoples to free development, formation of a just world order”, added Vyacheslav Volodin.
The Commission on Cooperation between the Parliaments of Russia and Mongolia should conduct its activities on regular basis, not being limited only to annual meetings, according to the Chairman of the State Duma. “We should involve the relevant committees of our Parliaments to develop solutions regularly,” he added.
Vyacheslav Volodin proposed to hold the second meeting of the Commission in Moscow next March.
“The parliamentary commission is like a representative body. It represents the interests of nations, supports friendship and cooperation between them. In this regard, we seek the positive cooperation, look for new ways of regional development,” stressed Gombojavyn Zandanshatar.
He expressed hope that the meeting of the Commission would help bring positions closer and reach solutions to many issues of bilateral relations.
Mutually beneficial cooperation
“Today, we together launch
new mechanism of cooperation between Russia and Mongolia in order to develop
trade and economic, humanitarian relations in all fields. That is the creation
of the inter-parliamentary commission,” said the Deputy Chairman of the State

According to him, members of the Parliaments of the two states will deal with issues of harmonization of legislations of Russia and Mongolia to enhance cooperation between the two states.
The parliamentarians and relevant authorities of Russia and Mongolia discussed issues of enhancement of transport cooperation. “We have managed to reach tangible results in the field
of transport cooperation, as well as in some other fields,” said the Deputy
Chairman of the Committee on Transport and Development of Transport

. According to the member of the Russian
Parliament, the special attention should be paid to the further development of transport and logistics infrastructure, as that will help increase the number
of cross-border movements and in mutual trade turnover.

related to education, the Chairman of the Committee on Science and Higher

noted the long history of humanitarian cooperation
between the two states. “It is very important for development of relations,” he
added. Sergey Kabyshev said that Russia was ready to increase the quota for education of students from Mongolia. The current quota is one of the largest –
620 students.
