“Poland has betrayed the historical memory, forgotten that it was liberated from the fascist invaders by the Soviet people and the price was very high,” posted the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin Volodin Vyacheslav Victorovich Volodin

The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
on his Telegram channel.

He recalled that a third of the current territory of Poland — areas with developed infrastructure, industrial enterprises, as well as rich in natural resources – became part of Poland after the World War II only because of our country’s assistance.

“In the post-war period, the Soviet people, giving their last things, spent more than 750 billion USD on the restoration and development of Poland, according to today's estimates (there were built more than 800 industrial, energy, transport facilities),” he added.

“Poland exists as a state only because of our country,” stressed Vyacheslav Volodin.

In addition, according to the Chairman of the State Duma, the Poles act vilely: they demolish monuments to the Soviet liberator soldiers, close Russian schools and steal Russian property. “They are acting rudely,” he added.

“Denying a common history, desecrating the memory of our soldiers and officers, Poland must return the territories acquired after World War II and pay back money spent on it during the war and post-war periods,” emphasized the Chairman of the State Duma.

In addition, according to Vyacheslav Volodin, it would be right to cut Poland off from preying on Russia today: to ban Polish trucks from crossing the territory of our country.

“They should load their goods on Russian trucks. Our citizens will receive money from transportation,” added the Chairman of the State Duma.

“Poland's costs in this case can be about 8.5 billion euros. According to experts, as a result of this, about 2 thousand Polish transport companies with more than 20 thousand drivers will be affected or go bankrupt. We will consider the relevant issue at the meeting of the Council of the State Duma on Monday,” he concluded.
