The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
. “We, regardless of our views, should have courage to admit that the agreements that states reached
after World War II have been destroyed. The issue of global security is very
acute today,” he added.
According to him, Washington and Brussels are waging war in Ukraine. “We have always said and emphasize today that we have nothing to share with the Ukrainian people. But NATO has seized Ukraine, brought its mercenaries there: both to power and to the battlefield. The current situation is the result of such actions,” added Vyacheslav Volodin.
Speaking about the prospects of peace negotiations, the Chairman of the State Duma expressed the opinion that Ukraine and its president would not come to the negotiating table until Washington let them do that. “Ukraine as a state does not exist anymore. Today this territory is a testbed for weapons sent by all NATO member states. Ukrainian authorities are only puppets. Advisers from Washington, from Brussels rule there. If we talk about Zelensky, he is just a TV presenter. Moreover, he simply reads the text written for him,” added Vyacheslav Volodin.
The Chairman of the State Duma stressed that Russia stood for a multipolar and just world, where each country should have future, and the people should have prospects.
Russia's special military operation in Ukraine was inevitable, otherwise the world would have been plunged into tragedy, Vyacheslav Volodin is convinced. “It is very important for everyone to understand that,” he said.
