The Chairman of the State Duma posted on his Telegram channel that, according to the EU foreign policy head Josep Borrell, the European Union would help Ukraine to empty its grain storage capacities to be able to receive the next crop.

“They want to take grain to Europe by sea. For making it possible, the UN Secretary General proposed to ease restrictions on export of potash fertilizers from Russia and Belarus to allow vessels with grain from Ukraine to pass,” stressed Vyacheslav Volodin Volodin Vyacheslav Victorovich Volodin

“Piggies from European Union! That is the only word for it,” he emphasized.

The Chairman of the State Duma added that the citizens of Ukraine would not have grain reserves, and as for the future harvest, first of all, we still have to wait and see, and secondly, they did not have diesel fuel and gasoline for sowing.

“Only European countries will benefit from such cynical proposals. Their desire to get potash fertilizers from Russia (they don’t have their own) proves that they care only about themselves,” stressed Vyacheslav Volodin.

He added that Russia always supported development of mutually beneficial cooperation and that “new packages of sanctions will not do Europe any good.”

“We already see rising energy prices, and there will be food deficit by the end of the year, and it will not be possible to put the blame on Russia. Brussels supported Washington's sanctions policy. As a result, they got Biden’s price increase,” Vyacheslav Volodin concluded.
