stressed: “The CSTO has proven its effectiveness as a guarantor of regional stability, protection of independence and sovereignty of member states. The Organization serves as a reliable barrier against the challenges and threats of international terrorism and extremism. The CSTO makes a significant contribution to the fight against drug and arms trafficking, organized transnational crime, and illegal migration.”

Vyacheslav Volodin emphasized that the collective military potential “is being strengthened, the high efficiency and coherence of the CSTO peacekeepers during operation in Kazakhstan aimed at stabilizing the situation have become a confirmation of the Organization's maturity.”

“In the current conditions, the role of the Parliamentary Assembly is increasing, which should help to contribute to the development of common decisions to strengthen the collective security system created within the framework of the CSTO, including through the harmonization of national laws,” stressed the Chairman of the State Duma.
