Vyacheslav Volodin: Russia can use nuclear weapons only as a nuclear response measure
Chairman of the State Duma in his interview to Komsomolskaya Pravda recalled that the USA was the only state used nuclear weapon
He stressed that according to Russia’s strategic documents, nuclear weapons could only be used as a nuclear response measure.
“That could be only a response measure. That could only be done to protect our country. If they did
that, we would respond. But as for the United States of America, its
authorities are able to use it as a preventive measure. We should be afraid of them,” added Vyacheslav Volodin

The Chairman of the State Duma recalled that the nuclear security issues were discussed with the President of the United States. Those issues were also proposed to be discussed with other world leaders, but no one heard Russia.
Vyacheslav Volodin also completely rejected the possibility of a preventive nuclear attack by Russia.
“Everything is clear. And we proceed from the fact that this can only be a response measure and nothing else,” he stressed.
