The Chairman of the State Duma recalled the situations in Libya, Iraq, and Afghanistan, where the West had managed to “stifle sovereignty”. “There is devastation there. That is an example for you, where they were able to break, where they had managed to do what they wanted,” he added.

At the same time, according to Vyacheslav Volodin, in Syria “they could not do anything, as the Russian Federation provided assistance there.”

He also recalled that people continue to leave the Baltic States since 1991, in Ukraine about 2 million of its citizens work in Russia, 3 million in Europe.
