The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
posted that on his Telegram channel.

He recalled Zelensky's recent interview to foreign media, when he said that “this is a different war, this war cannot be compared with any 20th century war, and there has never been such a war before.”

“This is a special military operation. If Russia waged a full-scale war, it would have already been ended. If we used military tactics of the United States simply undertaking carpet bombing of the cities, leaving behind scorched earth, as the “world’s most democratic Air Force” did in Yugoslavia, Libya, Iraq and Syria,” stressed Vyacheslav Volodin.

The Chairman of the State Duma added that “Russian soldiers and officers do not kill civilians, but liberate them, sacrificing their lives.”

“Our servicemen are doing everything to save civilians. The pockets of resistance of neo-Nazis are being targetly destroyed. That is due to a risk to lives,” he emphasized.

Vyacheslav Volodin added that at the same time, Ukrainian nationalists were fighting in cities and towns, in dense residential areas, where they hid behind “human shields”, took women and children hostages.

“There are humane decisions in these difficult conditions, for example, the Azovstal situation, when there were organized humanitarian corridors. But Zelensky tells nothing about that. Only a non-independent president could do that, as such person let Washington control the country and thinks only of how to retain personal power, and not of the lives of citizens of Ukraine,” concluded the Chairman of the State Duma.
