Talant Mamytov expressed hope that the meeting would give an additional impetus to strengthening inter-parliamentary development and addressing issues aimed at enhancement of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Russian Federation.
He particularly noted the high level of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan, both at the bilateral level and within the framework of inter-parliamentary organizations, and also noted the will of the Kyrgyz side to increase the momentum in cooperation.
“The Kyrgyz Republic has always been and still is a reliable partner of Russia linked by trust, long-term ties of friendship and mutual support. We highly appreciate your personal attention to the development of Russia-Kergyzstan allied relations,” emphasized Talant Mamytov.
He also thanked the Russian Federation for provided assistance in implementing measures within the framework of integration in the Eurasian space, developing humanitarian and educational areas, as well as in strengthening the country's defense capabilities.
“I would like to take this opportunity and express my deep gratitude to the authorities of the Russian Federation, as they have always supported us in the most difficult times,” said Talant Mamytov.
Meetings of relevant committees and the Inter-parliamentary commission
Vyacheslav Volodin is convinced that it is necessary to strengthen cooperation between the relevant committees of the parliaments of the Russian Federation and Kyrgyzstan, as well as within the framework of the Inter-parliamentary Commission.
“It should bring real benefits to the citizens of our countries so that relations at the level of parliaments will develop more effectively and both Kyrgyzstan and Russia will benefit from that,” emphasized the Chairman of the State Duma.
“It is very important for us to address issues that concern the citizens of our states. Therefore, it would be great if there were not only intentions and conversations, bit also there would be concrete decisions,” said Vyacheslav Volodin.
“I propose to hold meetings of the relevant committees of the Parliaments of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation this year, which were planned to be held in Russia. We also propose to hold the 10th meeting of the Russia-Kyrgyzstan Inter-Parliamentary Commission in Kyrgyzstan,” Talant Mamytov said.
In addition, the meeting participants discussed migration policy, in particular labor migrants’ support, issues of learning Russian language in Kyrgyzstan, economic and humanitarian cooperation.
Talant Mamytov also invited Vyacheslav Volodin to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
