The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba in an interview to the British online newspaper The Independent said that Kiev “doesn’t believe western promises.”
“Allegedly, the Ukrainian
authorities had learnt such a “bitter” lesson, and they want to have “an agile
military state” like Israel. In fact, the lesson has never been learned,” said
Leonid Eduardovich .
“It is clear that sooner or later Kiev should realize the real Ukraine’s “value” for the Western states. Even those cookies on the Maidan were not free. Ukraine was openly used as a staging post in the anti-Russia project, and as a pawn in Washington's geopolitical game,” stressed the parliamentarian.
“But the conclusions are wrong again. Not a military state like Israel, but a return to good-neighborly cooperation with Russia and Belarus is a guarantee of a peaceful future for our Slavic home. Ukrainians, Russians, Belarusians are fraternal peoples with a common history and culture, which have should stay together,” concluded the Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs.
