Leonid Slutskiy: Western states continue their efforts to deter Russia and its closest allies

“They are talking about struggle for peace and protection of human rights. But in fact, that is a real unfair competition, an attempt to push Russian and Belarusian companies out of the world markets and a hypocritical doublethink to justify interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states,” said the Chairman of the Committee on International affairs

“The Western states continue their efforts to deter Russia and its closest allies. The US State Department has announced introduction of sanctions against NPP Pulsar LLC,Charter Green Light Moscow and Asia-Invest LLC, as, according to Washington, those entities violated US national law, in particular, the Iran, North Korea and Syria Nonproliferation Act. The State Department did not provide any specific examples and concrete evidence. Not to mention the illegal nature of ex-territorial restriction measures,” said the Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutskiy Slutsky Leonid Eduardovich Slutsky

“The UK authorities follow the way. London has imposed a new package of economic, trade and aviation sanctions against Belarus authorities. Mythical violations of human rights were the main reason for that. And once again, those restrictive measure affected Russian citizens, I mean, Mikhail Gutseriev, who was included in the sanctions list, as he is linked with the Slavkali Company and the Nezhinsky potassium chloride mining and processing plant. In addition, according to the Agence France-Presse information, the US President Joe Biden plans to impose new sanctions on Belaruskali, one of the largest producers of potash fertilizers in the world,” added the parliamentarian.

“They are talking about struggle for peace and protection of human rights. But in fact, that is a real unfair competition, an attempt to push Russian and Belarusian companies out of the world markets and a hypocritical doublethink to justify interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states. I am convinced that Moscow and Minsk will definitely take retaliatory measures,” stressed Leonid Slutskiy.
