The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
arrived in Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi.
Viacheslav Volodin conveyed congratulations, warm greetings and good wishes from the Russian President Vladimir Putin to Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi.
Issues of the development of Russia-Iran bilateral relations and inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries were also discussed at the meeting.
The Chairman of the State Duma stressed that “Russia attaches great importance to the development of cooperation with Iran”. Inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries are effectively developing in various formats. “It would be right to do everything to maintain the momentum,” said Viacheslav Volodin.
Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi expressed his gratitude to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
