The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
discussed with speakers of the parliaments of the CSTO member states preparations for the CSTO PA meeting, which will be held
on November 30.
During the conversation, the speakers discussed the issues of harmonization of national legislations of the CSTO member states, issues of legislative regulation of digital and economic security, information protection, issues of countering terrorism and extremism, organized crime, cyber challenges and threats.
Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin, Speaker of the Joǵorku Keńesh (Supreme Council) of the Kyrgyz Republic Talant Mamytov, Chairman of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Rustami Emomali took part in the discussion.
Earlier, there was a conversation with the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan.
In the beginning of 2020 the CSTO chairmanship was transferred to the Russian Federation.
The joint meeting of the CSTO PA Council and the CSTO PA plenary session will be held via videoconference.
