On 27 October 2020, the VI BRICS Parliamentary Forum will be held via videoconference under the theme ”BRICS Partnership for Global Stability, Shared Security and Innovative Growth: parliamentary dimension“.
The Forum will
be chaired by the Chairman of the State Duma Viacheslav Volodin

The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)

The Forum participants plan to discuss issues of improving the standards and quality of life of citizens of the BRICS countries, preparing legislative initiatives to improve the health care systems, issues of social protection and economic recovery in the pandemic conditions, as well as the further development of parliamentary cooperation within the BRICS.
The programme of the Forum includes speeches of the heads of delegations of the parliaments of the BRICS countries (Russia, India, China, South Africa, Brazil). The outcome statement is also planned to be adopted at the end of the meeting.
The Forum will be held under the Russian BRICS Chairmanship in 2020.
