of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad

Viacheslav Volodin congratulated Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on his election Chairman of the Iranian Parliament and wished him success in his parliamentary activities.
The Speakers noted the friendly cooperation between the two countries and expressed their support for further development of cooperation at the parliamentary level.
Viacheslav Volodin invited the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament to pay an official visit to the Russian Federation at the end of this year and hold the third meeting of the Commission on Cooperation between the State Duma and Islamic Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Viacheslav Volodin and Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf discussed the possibility of continue cooperation of Russian and Iranian legislators within multilateral parliamentary formats. Thus, the Chairman of the State Duma proposed to hold next Conference of Speakers of Parliaments on Countering Terrorism and Strengthening Regional Connectivity (Afghanistan, Iran, China, Pakistan, Russia, Turkey) next spring in Russia (Sochi).
