The parliamentarian noted that Austria had expelled Russian diplomat for the first time in the history of the Russian-Austrian interstate cooperation.
“Of course, this
is an unfriendly act poisoning our bilateral relations. I say this with regret,
taking into account the constructive cooperation between
our countries,” said Leonid Slutskiy

“I do not exclude that a series of diplomatic scandals in European states may be part of a general campaign to discredit Russia or a major provocation,” the Chairman of the Committee stressed.
Leonid Slutskiy also assured that Russia's response would be adequate and based on the diplomatic principles of reciprocity.
