Vasilii Piskarev: unsubstantiated accusations of Russia’s meddling in the US elections are hackneyed tricks

”If Russian interference had existed, the evidence would have been found long ago and presented to the public,“ he said in an interview to parliamentary journalists.

recalled that the relevant State Duma Commission ”had revealed and showed the real facts of interference of the US authorities in the elections in Russia.“

“The US media, funded by the US Congress, and representatives of the US Embassy in Moscow also interfered in the election process in our country. All these facts had been documented and proved by an independent expertise. We have heard only unfounded accusations of the US side and vague references to the special services that are trying to find the evidence,” the parliamentarian stressed.

“An imaginary 'Russian meddling', which is so much talked about, and no one has proved it, gives US politicians a great opportunity to blame Russia for all their failures in the election campaign and to impose new sanctions. That are hackneyed tricks, which, unfortunately, are now indispensable elements of the US policy,“ concluded Vasilii Piskarev.
