The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
had a telephone conversation with the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Dastan Jumabekov. The speakers discussed the current situation with the spread
of the coronavirus infection in the world, as well as the possibility of holding a meeting of the CSTO PA Council in June via a videoconference.
The meeting should be held that way because of the necessary measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19. A meeting of the CSTO PA Council was planned to be held in May.
Viacheslav Volodin emphasized that the issue of possible holding a remote meeting of the CSTO PA Council will be discussed with all the speakers of the parliaments of the Parliamentary Assembly.
