Investigation of the origins of coronavirus, the role of China and the World Health Organization (WHO) should be objective, it should be carried out under the auspices of the United Nations, believes a member of the Committee on International Affairs Elena Panina Panina Elena Vladimirovna Panina

Earlier, Ron Johnson, Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs, told Politico that the Committee would launch a large-scale investigation into the origins and spread of coronavirus, as well as the role of China and WHO.

According to Elena Panina, most likely, the main task of the commission will be to “appoint” unilaterally the guilty parties.

“The origins of the pandemic should indeed be the subject of an investigation, but an objective and impartial investigation, best of all, under the auspices of the UN,” Elena Panina said.

She believes that it is necessary to create a proper international commission with the participation of scientists, specialists, and possibly representatives of investigative structures. Moreover, according to the parliamentarian, the investigation should not be the prerogative of any particular country to avoid bias approaches and conclusions.
