held a working meeting with the leadership of the Democratic Party of the Republic of Korea.
The Korean side was represented by Chairman of the Democratic Party of the Republic of Korea, head of delegation Lee Hae-chan, Secretary General of the Democratic Party of the Republic of Korea Yun Ho-jung, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Russia Lee Seok-bae and other representatives of the party.
The parties discussed the development of inter-parliamentary and inter-factional ties, economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as security issues of the Korean peninsula.
At the meeting, Sergei Neverov noted that the dialogue between our countries is developing, including via inter-party contacts: “We are now moving on to the level of development of inter-parliamentary and inter-factional ties. And this is very important for us because the “United Russia” faction in the State Duma and the faction of the Democratic Party of the Republic of Korea are factions of the parliamentary majority in their countries.”
