Viacheslav Volodin and Nuriddinjon Ismailov signed the Agreement on the creation of a mechanism for inter-parliamentary cooperation

On September 16, the State Duma and the Legislative Chamber of the Supreme Assembly (Oliy Majlis) of Uzbekistan signed the Agreement on Inter-chamber Parliamentary Cooperation, which will help to "strengthen relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan in various fields of mutual interest"

“The parties contribute to the establishment of permanent relations between committees and commissions, parliamentary groups, offices of the sides, exchange of delegations to study the practice of development and adoption of legislative acts and the parliamentary experience,” the Agreement says.

Viacheslav Volodin emphasized: “In the State Duma, such formats were created with our colleagues from China, France, Kazakhstan, Italy, and Iran. This is the first step for our colleagues from the Republic of Uzbekistan. We signed a framework agreement, which allows us to reach decisions of more specific formats in the future. ”

“This Agreement allows us to continue addressing issues in various formats,” he said.

The Chairman of the State Duma pays an official visit to Uzbekistan on September 16. This is the first visit of the Chairman of the State Duma to this country since 2006. During the visit, Viacheslav Volodin will meet with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
