Leonid Eduardovich met with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Israel to Russia Harry Koren. 

The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and intensification of inter-parliamentary contacts, including after the upcoming Knesset elections that will take place on September 17.

The Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs also held meeting with Iraqi Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Muayad Salih.

At this meeting, the parties discussed the diverse aspects of bilateral cooperation, as well as cooperation on international platforms, in particular, on the eve of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, which opens in New York on September 17.

Leonid Slutskiy confirmed the invitation to the Speaker of the Council of Representatives of Iraq, Mr. Mohamed al-Halbousi, to visit Russia. The parties took the initiative to hold a joint meeting of the international affairs committees of the State Duma and the Iraqi parliament.
