“Following the President of France, who stated the need to build new relations with the Russian Federation, we hear the shift in rhetoric in other countries. Ms. Zourabichvili has softened her tone towards our country, she should follow practical example of the Turkish leader Erdogan and apologize for the awkward expressions that “Russia is aggressor, Russia is occupant”. Those words were announced only a couple of months ago, clearly and unambiguously,” he said.

As the parliamentarian said, only after apologies it is possible to take next steps, ”despite the series of Russophobic sentiments that were observed in Georgia.“

“When the president of the country makes statements, society is guided by them. Russia is ready to resume relations, which, by the way, it has never ruined, and is not interested in it,” Adalbi Shkhagoshev Shkhagoshev Adalby Lyulevich Shkhagoshev

Earlier, the President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili said in an interview to Euronews that change in Russia's position could serve as a basis for resumption of dialogue between Tbilisi and Moscow, only in this case Georgia would be ready for contacts with Russia.
