Extraordinary meeting of the Council of the State Duma on foreign interference in the Russia’s internal affairs will be held on August 19

and discussed the initiative of the leaders of the State Duma factions to investigate facts of foreign interference in the internal affairs of the Russian Federation.

“All political factions of the State Duma stress the need to investigate the facts of foreign interference in the internal affairs of our country.

It was decided to hold an extraordinary meeting of the Council of the State Duma on August 19 at 12:00, where we will discuss this issue. The Chairman of the Committee on Security and Corruption Control was mandated to study the existing materials, analyze the situation and present proposals to the Council of the State Duma to consider the facts of interference,” Viacheslav Volodin told parliamentary journalists.

Vasilii Piskarev informed Viacheslav Volodin that relevant requests had been prepared to be sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to law enforcement agencies and to Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media to provide available information on the facts of interference of foreign states and their structures in the Russia’s internal affairs.
