said the Committee is going to consider a bill submitted by Russian President Vladimir Putin on the suspension by Russia of the Treaty Between the United States of America and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics on the Elimination of Their Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles on June 13 at the meeting of the Committee.

“This will be an exceptional response to the US withdrawal from the Treaty. I am sure that all the members of our Committee will vote for the recommendation to adopt the draft law. Earlier, the Council of the State Duma proposed to review this bill on June 18,” he recalled.

“The United States and NATO continue to accuse Russia of violating the Treaty. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called on Moscow to “save” the Treaty, returning to compliance with the Treaty. Such statements are a blatant and cynical cover-up for Washington’s actions on the breakdown of key agreements in the field of arms control. Russia has never violated the INF Treaty, moreover, we have repeatedly suggested American partners ensuring that it was true in practice, but all the arguments of the Russian side were ignored,” Leonid Slutskiy said.
