“A solution to the Kosovo problem, of course, shall be sought only through dialogue in accordance with the UN decisions. First of all, Security Council resolution 1244,” he said.
According to the Chairman of the State Duma, “counteraction to modern challenges and threats requires the creation of new security architecture throughout the Eurasian area. It should be based on the firm principles of international law. Therefore, we believe that the participation of members of the National Assembly in the sessions of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly is very important.”

also reminded that the 141st IPU Assembly will be held in Belgrade this autumn.
“I would like to draw your attention once again to the new inter-parliamentary formats, such as the Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries' Parliaments and the International Forum “Development of Parliamentarism”. Interest in them is growing, which indicates the relevance of such dialogue platforms nowadays. Countries aim at the implementation of integration projects and cooperation in the security sphere. This is important for strengthening mutual understanding and reducing tensions in international relations,” he noted.
Viacheslav Volodin invited his Serbian colleagues to take a more active part in the work of these platforms.
“I believe that our meeting today will contribute to the deepening of the Russian-Serbian strategic partnership, the further rapprochement of our peoples and the improvement of the living standards of the citizens of Russia and Serbia,” concluded the Chairman of the State Duma.
