The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
held bilateral meetings with Deputy President
of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Veroljub Arsić and Chairman
of Majlisi namoyandagon of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Shukurjon
Zuhurov.
The parties assured each other of their readiness for inter-parliamentary cooperation and expressed support for the decisions adopted by the Council.
Today
the delegation of the State Duma took part in the meeting of the CSTO PA Council.
It was conducted by Viacheslav Volodin as head of the Organization. In particular, the Council participants discussed issues of harmonization of the national legislation of the CSTO member states for 2016–2020.
Earlier today, Viacheslav Volodin met with President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov. The President of Kyrgyzstan also met with the heads of the parliaments of the member states of the CSTO PA.
On the eve, on May 19, a number of meetings of the Chairman of the State Duma with the heads of parliaments of the CSTO member states took place. Viacheslav Volodin discussed the issues of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation with Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Dastan Jumabekov, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin, and President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan.
