Next meeting of the CSTO PA will be held in Yerevan
The capital of the Republic of Armenia Yerevan will hold the next meeting of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly. Such decision was taken today at the meeting of the organization’s Council in Bishkek

, Chairman of the State Duma, to hold the next
meeting of the CSTO PA Council and the 12th plenary meeting of the CSTO
Parliamentary Assembly in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, in autumn 2019 was
supported by all heads of parliament of the CSTO member states: Kyrgyzstan,
Kazakhstan, Armenia, Tajikistan and Belarus.

Chairman of the State Duma Viacheslav Volodin offered this during the meeting of the CSTO PA Council.
“Colleagues, the field format of our meeting, on the one hand, increases the efficiency of inter-parliamentary interaction, on the other hand, allows parliaments to tell more about their priorities. It would be right to expand the geography of our events, organizing them in turns in different CSTO member states, thus developing a field-based practice. If you agree I would like to suggest holding the next meeting of the Council and the 12th plenary meeting of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly in Armenia in autumn 2019,” Viacheslav Volodin said in his opening speech at the meeting of the Council.
Earlier, at the bilateral meeting with Chairman of the State Duma Viacheslav Volodin, President of the National Council of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan offered to hold events of the CSTO PA in Yerevan in autumn.
