The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
said on Sunday at the meeting with the Chairman of the Supreme Council
of the Kyrgyz Republic Dastan Jumabekov, which was held on the sidelines of a meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security
Treaty Organization.
According to the Chairman of the State Duma, the joint elaboration of these issues will open new horizons for the citizens of Kyrgyzstan working in Russia.
”About 663 thousand citizens from Kyrgyzstan are working in our country today. And when people know the language of the country they came to, it enhances their opportunities for self-fulfillment,“ he said.
“In this regard, we would like to consider issues that require our support. [These are] questions of textbooks, issues of training of specialists,” added Viacheslav Volodin.
According to the Chairman of the State Duma, 15.8 thousand Kyrgyz citizens are studying in Russian universities, 6.6 thousand of them were admitted to state-financed student places.
“Therefore, I would like to emphasize once again that these issues should be controlled, and we should analyze issues related to their implementation,” he concluded.
The meeting was held on the eve of the meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. On Monday, speakers of the parliaments of the member states of the Organization will discuss, in particular, issues of approximation of national legislations; a meeting with President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov will be held on the same day.
