On April 9, a working meeting between Chairman of the State Duma Viacheslav Volodin and Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko took place in the State Duma.
The parties discussed the preparation for the next 56th meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, which is scheduled for June this year.
The previous 55th meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly was held on December 21, 2018. The parliamentarians reviewed the budget of the Union State for 2019 and the report of the Council of Ministers of the Union State on the realization of the 2017 budget. The “governmental hour”, a new format of work of the allied parliamentarians, took place for the first time.
