“Despite the delicate situation in Europe, relations between our countries continue to develop. A rich, regular and intensive dialogue at the highest level is highly commendable. Areas of exchange between countries are defined. This is inter-parliamentary, humanitarian, cultural and interregional cooperation. All these areas are well-established formats of cooperation, but this does not mean that the parties do not try to find new forms,” noted Aleksei Burnashov Burnashov Aleksei Leonidoviсh Burnashov

According to the parliamentarian, the interregional dimension of economic cooperation of our countries plays an important role.

The practice of holding presentations of Russian regions in Austria, visits of Austrian business representatives as part of business missions to Russia has become regular. At the end of 2018, the trade between our countries has grown by 42.7%.

“An important event for our countries to enhance the bilateral dialogue is the signing between the Russian and Austrian Foreign Ministers of a statement on the creation of the Russian-Austrian Public Forum “Sochi Dialogue”. I am sure that this format will help to improve the atmosphere of trust and friendship between our countries,” concluded Aleksei Burnashov.
