consider it necessary to develop model legislation, including the development
of the digital economy, more and more countries should engage in this process.
This is the economy of future, for us it is very important to create conditions

speaking on the development of the digital economy, ‘we are talking about
the need to protect the rights and freedoms of our citizens, about the issues
of protecting the sovereignty of our countries.’

During negotiations, he always emphasizes, on the one hand, the need for a dialogue, on the other hand, necessity to consider issues from the perspective of the interests of each country. We fully support this,” said the Chairman of the State Duma.
He believes that more countries should engage in the development of model legislation in the sphere of the digital economy.
“We believe that the development of new legislation in the sphere of the digital economy should include new partners. We talked about the Parliament of Austria, we will have this conversation with our colleagues from the Parliament of Italy and other countries. Perhaps this topic will be brought to the Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian countries’ [Parliaments] in September this year,” said Viacheslav Volodin, stressing that this is a topic that will be interesting for all countries that will participate in the Meeting.
“And, of course, the Forum “Development of Parliamentarism”, it is a basic issue for the development of all parliaments, we invited the Speaker of the Parliament of the Slovak Republic to present a report on this issue,” said the Chairman of the State Duma.
