Ivan Ivanovich held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to the Russian Federation Kim Hyung Jun.

During the conversation, the ambassador spoke about the current relations between the DPRK and the Republic of Korea, the dialogue between Pyongyang and Washington, and the development of the military-political situation on the Korean Peninsula. In his opinion, Russia and China play an important positive role in stabilizing the situation in the region.

The meeting participants also discussed such aspects of Russia-DPRK bilateral relations as closer coordination of Moscow and Pyongyang at international platforms, including in the UN, and the consistent development of inter-parliamentary, inter-party and inter-regional cooperation.
