“I am not the person who trusts [President of Ukraine Petr] Poroshenko. Again, according to reports, Ukraine has already deceived with the deceased journalist [Arkady Babchenko]. We should calmly review all events and facts, but in fact, I am afraid that some people are just playing with us again,” he said.
The words of the Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic are quoted by Russia Today with reference to the press service of the Slovak National Party, headed by Andrej Danko.
He also added that right now it is impossible to demand an immediate condemnation of what happened in the Sea of Azov and “million sanctions” from Slovakia.
“It’s very dangerous for us if tensions increase. But it is just as dangerous for us to make rash statements based on articles in the media,” said Andrej Danko.
“It is also necessary to perceive the specific situation in Ukraine, not everything is white or black. We pray for this conflict to be stopped by diplomatic means as soon as possible,” he continued.
“However, the sanctions are ineffective. Slovakia must insist on putting pressure on both parties to sit down at the negotiating table and resolve the issue without martial law,” concluded the Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic.
Earlier, Andrej Danko took part in the International Forum on the Development of Parliamentarism, where, in particular, he stressed that “sanctions are not and will never be a solution. The solution is only open dialogue, friendship, love, and mutual understanding, something that we are currently forgetting.”
